So for stringing I'm currelty best with 3-4 mm retraction at 50mm/s at print speeds from 30 - 80 mm/s with movement speed of about 120mm/s. The issue I'm still facing is the somehow inconsistent extrusion. Esteps are calibrated fine.

And I'm printing at the same speed as with the PG35L, but with the lightning retractions that I like on direct drive setups. I was stuck at 25mm/s during the early tries with a direct drive nema14, then up to 70mm/s with the pg35l and not tested above, so this is a jump from 25 to 50mm/s for this new try. For the print settings :

A BMG is not a direct drive it is still a 3:1 gear reduction, so that might be the first part to look at. I would recommend deviating from the default .5 increment retraction to a .25 increment retraction with a direct drive. Fan Speed.
